The Stratos Split charges into the backcountry with the energy of a freeride deck and the efficiency of a touring machine. A progressive sidecut and medium taper keep turns snappy through steep couloirs and open powder faces, while a poppy Biax Fiberglass layup over an ultralight Ultra Split Core delivers quick energy transfer on both the uptrack and the descent. Built for advancing freeriders who refuse to choose between performance and range.
Product Details
| Rocker Type | Directional Camber / Rocker: camber underfoot for grip and powerful response, with rocker at the nose for smooth turn initiation, powder float and maneuverability |
| Flex | Medium (3/5) |
| Shape | Directional, Medium Tapered |
| Sidecut | Progressive Sidecut: radius increases progressively toward contact points for smoother turn initiation and exit; per-size radius listed in the Size Table |
| Core | Ultra Split Core: ultralight dual-density wood core primarily Paulownia with pockets of Poplar, delivering standard-setting durability, pop and response in a splitboard-optimized construction |
| Laminates | Biax Fiberglass: biaxial fiberglass laminate, dual-layer dual-directional construction for a forgiving yet snappy feel with mid-soft torsional flex and quick energy transfer · Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer: developed with Swiss engineering firm Bcomp, combining carbon for pop with flax to absorb chatter and reduce CO₂ vs a full carbon stringer |
| Sidewalls | Recycled ABS: 100% recycled ABS with rounded finish to reduce chipping |
| Base | Sintered 8000 Base: premium sintered material, ultra fast, highly wax absorbent and easy to repair · Flip-Flop Base: produced in two base colorways to minimize P-Tex waste; color does not vary by size |
| Edges | Recycled Edges: bombproof recycled German steel on outer edges · Inner Thin Recycled Edges: thinner recycled steel on internal edges to reduce weight |
| Topsheet | Textured Eco Topsheet: bio-plastic (castor bean) eco topsheet with surface texture |
| 3D Contour | High 3D Contour Base: 7 mm spoon bevel at the nose, 0 to 7 mm at the tail, reducing drag at the tips, enhancing glide and improving float |
| Splitboard Tech | Boltless Bridge: eliminates split clip hardware from the base; thicker woodcore under clips delivers better torsional stiffness and a more powerful split clip connection · Inner Edge Traction Tech: three sidecut bumps on each side of the bindings for grip on icy skin tracks · Quick Tension Tail: integrated skin tension system using a pre-cut notch, no traditional tail clip required |
| Traction | High Traction Tech: high-level serrations along the running length adding multiple contact points for edge grip |
| Split Clips | Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0: lighter and tighter-clamping than 1.0, with a smaller footprint; adjustable · Karakoram Tip-Lock Tip Clips 2.0: lock with the flick of a lever and stay tightly attached all season |
| Epoxy | Durabond Bio-Epoxy [27]: bio-sourced epoxy with 27% plant-based carbon content, delivering -33% COâ‚‚ vs conventional epoxy |
